Basit Mohammed

Basit Mohammed is Knowledge Transfer Manager – Regional Investments at Innovate UK Business Connect, the UK’s innovation agency. In this role, he works across the UK investment ecosystem with a regional focus to increase private capital flows into scaling innovative businesses.

He also serves on the Swindon and Wiltshire Economic Advisory Board and previously sat on the Board of the Swindon and Wiltshire Local Enterprise Partnership (SWLEP), where he oversaw significant public funds for local infrastructure, innovation, and business growth.

Before joining Innovate UK Business Connect, Basit worked with Portfolio Institutional, supporting the UK’s institutional investor community on investment strategy. There, he delivered in-depth independent analysis and expert opinion to asset owners and managers and convened strategic roundtables to facilitate dialogue between institutional investors and asset managers.
