Sarah Dickins to join Wales Tech Week as a Host

Award winning journalist and documentary producer, Sarah Dickins, is joining Wales Tech Week as the Host of the Net Zero stage. 

Sarah Dickins is one of the most experienced journalists in Wales and has specialised in reporting and commentating on the changing workplace, industry and economics for more than two decades. She has worked for the BBC across the UK.

For the last ten years she has been the BBC’s Economics Correspondent for Wales working on television, radio and online.

Before that she Presented BBC 2’s daily business programme , Working Lunch alongside Adrian Chiles and also BBC1’s Business Breakfast

Her energy and drive makes economics and the world of work accessible to a wide audience.

Her career has been dominated by carbon. In the early days she charted the decline of coal and heavy manufacturing. More recently she has focussed on the climate crisis and its interaction with the economy.

Sarah is particularly interested in the drive to Net Zero, decarbonisation and the implementing of a circular economy approach to becoming more sustainable.

She was recently named as one of Wales’ 100 Changemakers by the Future Generations Commission.

She has recently left the BBC and journalism to set up her own company, helping groups of people across the economy to overcome the barriers to them achieving their own targets for reaching Net Zero and becoming sustainable.
