Rhys Driscoll

In my capacity as the Partner Development and Outreach Lead for Cyber Security at the University of South Wales (USW), I am dedicated to propelling cyber security education through strategic collaborations with industry, government, and academia. Moreover, as a pivotal component of my role at USW, I am actively partnering with the Cyber Innovation Hub (CIH) to facilitate South Wales’ evolution into a prominent cyber cluster. This initiative aims to unlock the Cardiff Capital Region’s full potential, fostering the emergence of cutting-edge cyber security products, high-growth enterprises, and a pool of technically skilled talent on a global scale. 

My background in digital leadership within secondary education uniquely positions me to bolster USW’s cyber outreach for schools and colleges. I aim to forge rewarding partnerships with industry, government, and academia, aligning with CIH’s goals to enrich the cyber talent pipeline and enhance the learning experience. I’m passionate about advocating for the pivotal role of cyber education and the collaborative efforts of industry, academia, and government in shaping Wales’ future. I firmly believe in the contributions of both USW and CIH to this endeavour and am dedicated to championing it for future success, ensuring USW maintains its leadership in education and outreach.
