Wales Tech Week: How to Get to the ICC Wales
We are excited to welcome you to Wales Tech Week taking place from 16th – 18th October 2023 at the ICC Wales in Newport.
This page gives you all the information relevant to travelling to and accessing the venue.

Onsite Parking
There is onsite parking under the ICC with a standard vehicle clearance of 2m. This car park is charged at £24 per 24 hours. There is additional parking at Celtic Manor Resort charged at £5 per 24hrs for the outdoor car park and £15 per 24hrs for the underground car park. By Bus
There will be a regular bus shuttle, funded by UK Government, between Newport Station and the ICC in the mornings and afternoons of Monday 16th October to Wednesday 18th October. If you plan to use this option, please wait in good time as during peak periods you may have to wait for the next shuttle depending on demand.

By Air
Cardiff International Airport is just west of Barry and approximately 1 hour by road to ICC.
By Rail
From Newport Train Station, ICC is a 15 –20 minute taxi drive away. Please check for any delays or bus replacements on the Transport for Wales website.

Travel by Car
Please note that the M4 can get very congested in peak traffic periods and it’s best to allow for this in journey planning.
Directions by road from the East or West
As you are approaching on the M4, exit at Junction 24. At the roundabout take the B4237 towards Newport. You will see a large Celtic Manor/ICC sign after 100 metres, turn right. You will drive across an overpass (crossing over the M4) and then hit a fork in the road (goes left and right). Follow the road up until you reach the roundabout and can see The Manor. Take the third exit. You are now at The ICC. Follow directions into the underground parking or delivery zones.
Directions by road from the North
Take the M5 and exit at Junction 15 onto the M4 Westbound. Exit the M4 at Junction 24. At the roundabout take the B4237 towards Newport. You will see a large Celtic Manor/ICC sign after 100 metres, turn right. You will drive across an overpass
(crossing over the M4) and then hit a fork in the road (goes left and right). Follow the road up until you reach the roundabout and can see The Manor. Take the third exit. You are now at The ICC. Follow directions into the underground parking or delivery zones.
Directions by Road from the North (alternative route)
Take the M5, exit at Junction 8 onto the M50 Southbound. This becomes the A40 to Monmouth, which in turn becomes the A449, which terminates at the roundabout beneath Junction 24 of the M4. Do not join the M4. At the roundabout take the B4237 towards Newport. You will see a large Celtic Manor/ICC sign after 100 metres, turn right. You will drive across an overpass (crossing over the M4) and then hit a fork in the road (goes left and right). Follow the road up until you reach the roundabout and can see The Manor. Take the third exit. You are now at The ICC. Follow directions into the underground parking or delivery zones.
Disabled Access
There is flat floor access to the main entrance of the ICC, which is predominantly on one level, and removable seats for disabled guests within the event hall. There are lifts to upper floors.
