Prof. Dr. Rolf Hellinger

Rolf Hellinger is a renowned expert and driving force in the field of power electronics at Siemens. As the Vice President of the Power Electronics Competence Center and the Company Core Technology Power Electronics, he leads Siemens’ strategic efforts to advance this important technology. With a master’s degree in electrical engineering and information technology from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT) and a PhD from the Berlin University of Technology, Hellinger brings a strong academic foundation to his work. His doctoral research on unconventional electrical drive systems showcased his technical depth and innovative mindset early in his career.

In addition to his leadership roles at Siemens, Hellinger is a respected lecturer at the Friedrich- Alexander University in Erlangen, where he teaches power electronics for autonomous systems.
