Barry Kirby

Barry is the Managing Director of K Sharp, with over 20 years experience in Human Factors Engineering and Integration, Human Science Research and User Engagement. His passion is about ensuring that products and services are developed with a human centred approach to ensure great usability, safety and lower project costs. His experience is largely focused in the defence domain where he has led and supported projects in the Air, Land, Maritime, Space and Cyber domains. He is a Fellow and former President of the Chartered Institute of Ergonomics and Human Factors (CIEHF) and a Committee Co-Chair in the International Ergonomics Association (IEA). He is also hosts a “1202 – The Human Factors Podcast”, and collaborates with other international shows.
