Steve Edwards

Director level leadership experience in Electricity, Gas and Ports. During his 30-year career, Steve has built up a significant and senior level energy and regulatory network with Industry, Governments, Regulators and Public Sector groups. Steve has been a senior manager for over 20 years and Director for 12 years. Whilst at the Port of Milford Haven, Steve played a major role in developing the successful Celtic Freeport Bid and chaired the Milford Haven Energy Cluster. During Steve’s time at Wales & West Utilities, Steve helped develop the RIIO form of Regulation and played a key role in the first ever WWU RIIO business plan submission. Steve was the Chair of the Energy Networks Association Regulation Group, Future Energy Group. Steve is on the Executive Council of the Parliamentary Group for Energy Studies and a Board Member of Warm Wales and Sportsaid Cymru Wales. Steve is currently the chair of CBI Wales Net Zero group and a previous strategic Energy Advisor to the South West Wales Combined Joint Committee. Professionally, Steve is a Chartered Management Accountant, a Fellow and Past President of IGEM (Institution of Gas Engineers) and a Graduate of Swansea University.
