Andy Silcox, Research Director, has worked in the field of manufacturing research since 2003 – firstly with KUKA Systems and, from 2011 to 2018, and with the Manufacturing-Technology-Centre as Chief-Engineer. Andy has led a number of major UK & EU collaborative-projects with OEM and Tier 1 partners across multiple manufacturing sectors:
From 2019 to March 2025 Andy has led the formation of AMRC Cymru and as Research Director has been responsible for the technical delivery of the diverse project portfolio.Since March, Andy has been employed as the CTO for the whole AMRC group and is responsible for the research strategy across all the AMRC’s regional bases and the wide range of industrial sectors that the AMRC serves.
