Mike Williams

I began my career in the Armed Forces, completing two tours of Iraq. After leaving the Army, my background naturally led me to gravitate towards physical security positions within the private sector. This quickly evolved into management roles, where I oversaw teams of security officers at various venues. From retail sectors focused on loss prevention to large artistic venues concentrating on counter terrorism and crowd control, I excelled at managing diverse teams.

With a lifelong interest in technology, I felt the desire to transition from my eighteen year career in physical security to a more tech focused role. I developed an interest in offensive security consulting, particularly penetration testing, and recognised strong parallels between my experiences in both the military and private sector security roles and the skills required for penetration testing.

After securing my first penetration testing role, hired for my passion rather than academic credentials, I have continued to grow and advance in my current career as a security consultant.
