Simon Pritchard is a visionary leader who, for over two decades, has served as CEO of Philtronics Limited, driving innovation in precision electronics manufacturing for the global semiconductor and wafer fabrication sectors. His career, rooted in the fast-paced gaming industry, built a strong foundation in project management and supply chain optimisation, shaping his strategic leadership approach.
Before Philtronics, Simon Pritchard contributed significantly at Astra Games, a leading innovator in gaming machine design and a subsidiary of the Novomatic Group. As Project Manager, he oversaw the introduction of new products, guiding projects from concept to production for diverse markets. Earlier, at JPM Group and Sega Amusement Europe, prominent players in European slot machine and arcade markets, Simon advanced from Buyer to Purchasing Manager. There, he streamlined procurement processes, deepened his understanding of market demands, and supported the integration of manufacturing for iconic arcade machines like House of the Dead, as well as successful AWP games across the UK, Spain, and the Czech Republic.
Since April 2025, as Chair of Manufacturing Wales, Simon Pritchard has championed the vision and ambitions of Welsh manufacturers, fostering a collaborative consortium that connects businesses and universities to address complex industry needs. Under his leadership, Manufacturing Wales promotes knowledge sharing, supply chain resilience, and global recognition of Welsh brands through networking events, R&D partnerships, and advocacy with policymakers. His commitment to collaboration and innovation drives the organisation’s mission to future-proof the Welsh manufacturing sector, ensuring it thrives through shared solutions and a focus on sustainability.
Beyond his professional achievements, Simon is deeply committed to community, particularly through Velindre Cancer Centre, Action for Children and Ospreys in the Community. He actively participates in cycling events like Jiffy’s Cancer 50 Challenge and the CARTEN 175Kms ride, alongside Philtronics’ team fundraisers, reflecting shared values of teamwork and impact. His partnership with the Ospreys rugby team further underscores his dedication to Welsh pride.
Through Philtronics Solutions, formed in 2018 as a sister company to Philtronics Limited, Simon Pritchard leads a technology development company that delivers smart innovation from concept to delivery. Specialising in electronic and firmware design, PCB layout, prototype builds, and testing, Philtronics Solutions supports clients through every stage of product development, from feasibility studies to production.
