The Rt Hon Alun Cairns

The Rt Hon Alun Cairns is a former UK Cabinet Minister who served three Prime Ministers, from David Cameron to Boris Johnson, as the Secretary of State for Wales.  

In Government and Parliament, he was a strong advocate for policies to support international trade and the development of the Fintech industry.  He was also a member of the UK Board of Trade.    

Alun became the Co-Chair of the All-Party Fintech Group in Parliament and Deputy Chair of the Blockchain and Crypto Asset Groups after leaving government.  He also chaired the groups on Wholesale and Financial Markets and Energy Security.

Since leaving Parliament, Alun Cairns works as an international business and policy consultant, supporting both business and the public sector in a range of fields, from Finance to Blockchain, AI and Energy.  He holds an MBA that specialises in International Trade.  

Outside of business, Alun Cairns is a keen runner and has completed 13 London Marathons!
