Andy Dodge

Andy has extensive experience in engaging with a diverse array of organizations within Wales and the UK.  Since his appointment, Andy has been instrumental in leading and managing engagement activity and developing effective strategic relationships with key stakeholders at a senior level.  He is a prominent figure in the field of private, public, and third-sector collaborations.  Andy continues to drive engagement and commercial value for the Cyber Innovation Hub team and is integral to the hub achieving its goals of creating 25 new Welsh companies and 1500 newly skilled people in cybersecurity and transforming South Wales into a leading cyber cluster by the end of the decade.

Prior to joining the University, Andy worked for the National Training Federation Wales on the Welsh Government’s Sector Priorities Fund Pilot (SPFP) Programme.  The SPFP programme piloted strategic project activity which led to recommendations to ensure the delivery of post-16 skills provision was more responsive and aligned to employer needs. 

Andy is currently a Trustee/Director and Treasurer of ASET – the work-based and placement learning association – which is a membership organisation of over 125 higher education providers and has been at the forefront of developments in all forms of work-based learning and placement opportunities.
