Jake Spanswick

A game designer by degree, Jake is a passionate developer-turned-entrepreneur. With a First Class Honours in Computer Games Design, Jake’s transition into the role of CEO has been supported and nurtured by multiple industry mentors and business accelerator cohorts.

In 2020, Jake co-founded clear_pixel VR, a company that focuses on leveraging virtual reality (VR) for educational purposes, specifically in the realm of scientific laboratories. Their primary objective is to accelerate the acquisition of critical skills in scientific labs through innovative VR training. They envision a virtual lab equipped with industry-accurate equipment that’s accessible 24/7, allowing multiple individuals, in different physical locations, to practise techniques and repeatedly use the equipment for training.

As one of the original founders, Jake has an adept understanding of all elements of the business, having constructed the core product, technology, business plan and commercialisation roadmaps, allowing him to be vocational in every aspect of clear_pixel VR.
