John Davies MBE - Chair of Cyber Wales
John Davies received an MBE in the 2022 New Year’s Honours List for “Services to the UK Cyber Ecosystem”. In addition to working in information security for 35 years, those services included being the co-founder and chair of one of the first cyber security clusters in the UK and the formation of ‘Cyber Wales’, a not-for-profit umbrella organisation that supports the 12 cyber security clusters that now run in Wales as part of the largest ecosystem of its kind in the UK. All of this has been done on a voluntary basis, for his ‘day job’, John is the Co-founder of Pervade Software, a cybersecurity software SME that provides the platform for NCSC’s Cyber Essentials Scheme, and the UK Police National Cyber Alarm service.
