Leanne Connor - Business Manager, Thales
Leanne joined Thales as the NDEC (National Digital Exploitation Centre) Business Manager and first local hire in January 2019 following a 26 year career in Local Government, predominantly in the field of Economic Development and Regeneration. Previous experience includes managing inward investment opportunities, supporting new and existing SME’s, managing a portfolio of business properties and playing a key role in the redevelopment of the former steelworks site in Ebbw Vale, which is now the home of the growing Thales Wales Campus.
Starting her career in Human Resources she gained a CIPD postgraduate qualification, which was followed by a further postgraduate course of study and qualification in Regional and Local Economic Development via Sheffield University.
The establishment and growth of Thales in Ebbw Vale has enabled Leanne to transfer her knowledge, skills and passion for regeneration and business development into an increasingly important and growing industry, whilst providing the opportunity for further personal development and growth.
In her younger days Leanne was an international gymnast; now married with two (adult) children and an adorable cavapoo.
