Matt Lucas

Matt has been with the Intellectual Property Office for 5 years, his first Public Sector role (not counting the British Army). Over the past 14 months he has been providing technical oversight across the IPO’s ‘OneIPO’ Digital Transformation Programme, mitigating risks, providing advice on technical direction and technical ways of working and finding solutions to problems the Programme encounters. His background leading large teams across IT Services, Operations and Engineering provides an excellent foundation for this role. Matt is also deeply passionate and talks frequently about the value and importance of diversity, driven by his own experience – not just diversity of upbringing, gender, ethnicity or, in his case, outfit, but of cognition – in achieving the greatest coverage of a given problem space and thus the greatest chance of effective resolution.
