Sam Toombs

Born, raised and still living in South Wales, Sam is currently the leader of a large public sector vertical business across England and Wales in BT. She is a transformational business leader with over 20 years’ leadership experience working for world leading digital transformation brands. Her ultimate purpose and passion is to make a difference through tech, nationally and regionally by driving transformational outcomes for places, citizens, business and the economy.

Sam is the first female to Chair the BT Board in Wales. She recently completed a 3-year independent board member and advisor role to the Minister for Economy in Wales. She is a diversity role model, coach and mentor. She blends her passion for leadership and diversity by spending her spare time mentoring and coaching women, minorities and the young. She is also a motivational speaker, champion for mental health.

Sam has been nominated by her colleagues in the past for a prestigious EveryWoman in Technology award for Innovation, Womenspire Welsh Female Leader of the Year, Mentor of the Year and most recently LGBTQ+ standOUT in BT.
