Sarah Dickins - Sustainable Economics Adviser, former BBC Economics Correspondent

Award winning journalist and documentary producer, Sarah Dickins, has been analysing the UK economy as a BBC Correspondent for more than two decades.

A confident and experienced live host , Sarah’s corporate experience includes work in these sectors; fintech , food and drink , advanced manufacturing, energy , aviation , education and skills.

Her energy and drive makes economics and the world of work accessible to a wide audience. 

She had delved under the skin of heavy industries like coal and steel, watched the growth newer industries like the tech sector, financial services and consumer electronics. More recently she has been reporting on the challenges of Net Zero, decarbonisation and building a sustainable and more resilient economy.

For the last ten years she has been the BBC’s Economics Correspondent for Wales working on television , radio and online. Before that she Presented BBC 2’s daily business programme , Working Lunch alongside Adrian Chiles and also BBC1’s Business Breakfast . 

Between those two posts and with young children at home, Sarah presented daily news and current affairs programmes , phone ins and produced documentaries for BBC Wales . 

Sarah won a Celtic Media award for a pair of documentaries on the Spanish Civil War. 

Alongside her broadcasting , Sarah and her partner bought a traditional Welsh hill farm , converted it to organic production , raise award winning organic purely pasture fed lamb and have started a regenerative agriculture project at home. 

She has recently left the BBC and is bringing together both aspects of her live; sustainable farming and economics , to help companies and organisations overcome barriers to their own Net Zero targets . 

She was recently named as one of Wales’ 100 Changemakers by the Future Generations Commission. 

Sarah uses her experience and passion the economic landscape to host events , chair debates and facilitate conversation . 

She has interviewed Prime Ministers and Ministers and hosted many political programmes making her at ease in the political world as well.
