Tara Williams - Degree Apprenticeships Lead, Cardiff Metropolitan University
A multi award winning L&D professional my background has involved working directly with individuals as a career coach and management skills trainer but also working at a management level to lead a variety of learning and development projects in the education and private sectors.
I previously acted as lead for Welsh Water’s early careers function with responsibility for recruitment and ongoing programme development for all early careers programmes, I also led the apprenticeship programme to secure the 2019 CIPD Award for Best Apprenticeship and to become winner in a number of categories at the 2020 School Leavers Awards. I currently lead Cardiff Met’s apprenticeship provision working with industry to develop apprenticeship programmes and also to advise businesses on wider early careers initiatives.
I am a chartered member of the CIPD, I hold an MSc in Management and hold my PGCE and TAQA assessor qualification.
